I would highly recommend participating in one of Jane Froehlich’s online group language lessons. For the past year, I was a member of the Intermediate German Group Class. I joined these sessions as I wanted to develop my conversation skills. The result was that I can now confidently discuss my personal opinions on a wide range of topics, present themed PowerPoint presentations and easily manage conversational tasks, such as rescheduling an appointment. I found the experience very rewarding, and it was a joy to study in a group with friendly students of a similar level. It continues to be a highlight of my week and I would encourage students who learn alone to participate as the skills I have gained have dramatically improved my advancement in my private sessions.
Online group lessons are fun and just as interactive as in class. I would highly recommend them.
I had been learning German with Jane for a couple of years before switching to online learning at the start of the pandemic. Jane made the transition easy for me. She has a lot of experience teaching remotely and is able to use all the functionality of Skype, such as the chat for vocabulary and screen sharing for audio files. She has all the materials we need ready for the lesson so we make the best use of the time we have together. I get as much enjoyment from the online lessons as I did the face-to-face ones.
Online lessons work really well for me. Jane has really helped me to improve my confidence in German. She has laid solid foundations of the German language, which will help me to retain it and achieve a high grade in GCSE.
I was extremely worried about my German A Level and I did not think that I was going to pass. Jane was a godsend who helped me to work harder, gave me the confidence that I could achieve a decent grade. I cannot recommend her enough for any A Level pupils, as she understands the syllabus very well and had a huge amount of resources, which aided my studies. I would not have obtained a C grade without her. I was predicted a grade D/E.

Although Anna found the listening and speaking exam very difficult, and did not quite get her timing right, I know that her lessons with you have helped in so many ways. She has certainly made amazing progress in such a short space of time. More than anything, Anna actually started to enjoy learning German and could see how great it is to be able to speak another language.
I have been studying with Jane for a year after having lacked any real knowledge of German grammar and I was taught in an environment where there was little emphasis on important vocabulary. I have since developed a grasp of the grammar and vocabulary necessary for me to be able to achieve the top grade at GCSE. I attribute my grade 9 to her teaching that allowed me to develop skills that have formed a good basis for my continued study of German at A Level.
