I have been learning French with Jane for the past five years, since I was in year 4. Over that time, I have made a lot of progress, and by year 9 I had already reached GCSE level.
Jane has been an amazing great teacher. She is patient, dedicated and very thorough, and she always encourages me to do my best so you’ll have to work hard in every lesson to make the most progress possible. Her lessons are well structured with lots of new resources that I’ve never tried out before, helping me expand my learning and have helped me build a strong foundation in French, especially in grammar, vocabulary and confidence.
In the end, I am very grateful for all the support and encouragement Jane has given me over the years. I have learned a lot from her teaching, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn French properly.
After not learning anything French for over 20 years, I decided to try my hand at it again! You can teach an old dog new tricks! Jane helped me not only learn the language again but she focuses on proper pronunciation and “the French way” to get an all rounded education and support.
I recently did a short course (10 lessons) in French with Jane, to brush up my GCSE (a long time ago)-level French before a holiday. Jane is very organised and tailored our lessons to what would be most useful on a holiday, as well as focusing on my pronunciation and helping me revise important grammar. I’m just back from my holiday, during which I was given a compliment on my accent and replied to in French throughout! The focus on pronunciation was key – it really helped me feel confident that I would be understood. I’d definitely recommend lessons with Jane.
