My wife and I are have been doing online lessons with Jane throughout the pandemic. We find them enjoyable, effective and efficient. Jane plans the content of meetings very carefully to meet our needs and we have a good mix to develop listening, reading and translation skills. We find the online lessons just as effective as the face-to-face sessions we had before the pandemic.
We had 16 weeks of Italian lessons with Jane on line in a group. It was great fun, lots of laughs, and has definitely given us a sound understanding of the Italian language. We have a lot to learn, but as total novices, we feel we now have a basic knowledge to take forward when we have more time again. Thank you Jane!

I started learning Italian with Jane as my new lockdown activity and despite restrictions easing I am planning to continue as I’m really enjoying it. Jane provides the right amount of ‘push’ to get me to do my homework (which I do in some measure most of the time anyway!). The lessons are varied, well planned and well structured. The worksheets are great and the websites suggested for listening tasks are useful. A great learning experience and all from the comfort of my own home!
I have been taught Italian by Jane now for 3 ½ years. In that time, weekly lessons were at her home but since the outset of Covid all lessons are on Skype. I did have my reservations about using a video type link but it has worked and now seems the norm. Jane is gifted in her various language abilities and I would certainly recommend her for beginners, intermediate and advanced language students.

I have been studying Italian with Jane for over 4 years. During 2020/21 we were in lockdown because of the Virus. Being a bit of a technophobe, I hated the idea of online lessons, but these have worked extremely well, and I now look forward to them.
Private lessons were essential to progress at a quicker rate. With Jane’s encouragement I sat in 2008 a GCSE in Italian and attained an A*. Jane has given me a love of languages and when we were moving to a French speaking country, Jane quickly adapted my lessons from Italian to French, helping me to lay the foundations for another language.
